He was living with his son, Milton Brown Ayers, when he died in Austin, TX. ___He is known to have worked for the University of Texas. He was also known to have been a Church of Christ preacher. ___He has been described as 'a gruff man, who wanted to tell everybody what to do and how to live', and as 'a man about town'.
